Xavier Tomas-Fernadez
Xavier is a Research Associate in the Computational Radiology Laboratory (CRL) in the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital Boston. He received his MSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (ETSETB-UPC), Spain, in July 2007 andis planning to receive his PhD in Electrical Engineering in the winter of 2009.
Before joining the CRL, Xavier spent three years in the Center of Molecular Imaging <http://www.iat-prbb.com/> in the Biomedical Research Center of Barcelona, Spain. He worked as research engineer analyzing MRI, fMRI, spectroscopy and PET data obtained in research projects related to ADHD children, Multiple Sclerosis and Prostate Cancer.
His research interests include MRI segmentation in ADHD children and Multiple Sclerosis patients, PET and Spectroscopic imaging.
