Benoit Scherrer is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Computational Radiology Laboratory (CRL) at Children's Hospital Boston. He received his PhD degree in Applied Mathmatics and Computer Science from the INPG Grenoble University in France in December 2008, and holds an MS degree in Image Analysis, Vision and Robotics from the INPG Gremnoble University.
During his PhD, Benoit worked on anatomical MRI segementation with the aim (1) to estimate local MRF models in a distributed system and (2) to combine tissue and structure segmentation. His research interests include Markov random fields, Bayesian and variational Bayes analysis, and medical or neuroscience applications of MRI/fMRI analysis.
