Catherine Wan is an Instructor in Radiology at the Computational Radiology Laboratory. She received her PhD from The University of Melbourne, and her Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from University of New South Wales.
Her research focuses on human communication and experience-dependent plasticity as a function of intense skills training, recovery from injury, and sensory deprivation. She has specialized expertise in auditory neuroscience using brain imaging methods (fMRI, MRI) and is interested in examining the relationship between language and auditory functions in neurological and developmental disorders. She currently works on studies relating to autism, tuberous sclerosis complex, and various language and psychiatric disorders.
